Who we are

It started with a Greek favorite, gyros. And then things got really interesting. Chris Tomaras, a Chicago entrepreneur, loved gyros—but noticed that each restaurant offering the Greek delicacy had different recipes, resulting in vastly different tastes...and different quality. So, Chris rolled up his sleeves and developed a better way: It was with his success and hard work that Kronos was born.

Throughout several decades, we’ve established Kronos as the nation’s largest foodservice manufacturer of authentic Mediterranean foods. From the beginning, we’ve understood the importance of delivering authentic and quality foods.
